Spend your time between hubs enjoying the same community feel, support, freedom, and a bit of adventure in bite-sized pieces—think of it as a sub-hub for your family! This is an incredible opportunity for kids to connect and for parents to engage in Southampton family activities. With real conversations, gentle coaching, games, and simply hanging out together, families can let their guard down and peacefully coexist with one another.
Activities will be offered throughout the day, all optional so you can choose what suits your family's pace. Most are immersive, hands-on experiences balanced with slower, more relaxed meetups to keep energy sustainable. We’ll explore local museums, zoos, playgrounds, and more, all part of our travel education. Evenings will bring the group together for adult hangouts, family activities, and potluck-style dinners.
We’re here to grow and explore as families, together. Parents can easily tag-team throughout the day, and if you ever need time to work, rest, or simply breathe, private childcare can be arranged separately.
To help keep you connected with other families, each pop-up has private WhatsApp groups for chatting, schedule reminders, arranging childcare, and sharing pictures.
Suggested Weekly Contribution to the community per family: 1-2 weeks: £100 per week, 3-5 weeks: £75 per week. Families coordinate their own transportation, accommodation, and meals. The suggested contribution is purely for community events—we leave everything else out on purpose, because we never want cost to be a reason someone can't join us.
Not sure where to start with accommodations? Your hosts are staying near River Hamble, but here is a link to all local hotels. If you're more of an AirBnB family, you can click here. Just be sure to edit the search for your specific dates and family size.
Keep an open mind and don't dismiss certain types of lodging just because you're with family. You'd be surprised by the worldschooling opportunities available, from finding local families who love hosting worldschoolers to hostels with private family dorm rooms, or even traveling in a camper van—the options might just surprise you.

Ferry trips to the Isle of Wight offer a fantastic way to explore Southampton family activities. While you're there, consider visiting Marwell Zoo and the National Motor Museum. You can also enjoy Blue Flag Beaches like Eastoke Corner and Highcliffe. Don't miss the National Trust Sites such as Foxbury and Curbridge Nature Preserve, which provide excellent travel education. Additionally, experiencing the free-roaming ponies of New Forest creates wonderful worldschooling opportunities for families.
