About Me

With decades of experience helping parents care for their children, I bring to you a collective wealth of knowledge and experience. After years of babysitting, tutoring, and mentoring, I started working as a preschool teacher in my early 20s. With that came many trainings and certifications. Moreover, that gave me lived experience. 

Each child I've worked with is their own whole person. Children are not tiny adults, but they are very much their own individuals right from the start. Working with so many different children has broadened my scope to include experiences with Autism, PDA, twins, Diabetes, potty training, transitions, sensory needs, tough family situations, divorce, separation, gender identity differences, illness, peer relations, learning disabilities, and so much more. 

Working at a residential summer camp since the 90s has taught me even more. Well beyond the initial orientation week, I got hands-on experience with homesickness, cultural differences, self esteem challenges, goal setting, and character development. I was lucky enough to work with these kids in an intense way over the course of 4-8 weeks and truly watch them blossom and grow. The best part of camp was having the same kids come back year after year. Watching them, navigating the journey alongside them, helping them develop into who they are, is such a gift. 

My own beautiful children have had the benefit of my experience, and have given it back to me tenfold. Raising twins with multiple diagnoses can be a wild ride. Along the way, I've found community and strength from working with their therapists and teachers, from becoming class mom and involving myself as much as I possibly could. My experiences helped me navigate issues on field trips, special event days, and classroom parties. The teachers loved the extra support. I loved the extra involvement and experience. I truly love watching children and their families thrive.

And now, living, experiencing, and growing with our worldschool hub has been one of the most enriching and eye-opening experiences thus far. Intentional community has so much to offer. Collective growth, care, decision making- it's brought so much peace and excitement. This and that are true. 

Every family has their own path. Every child is their own person. Every struggle has its own resolution.
